FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)

How can I reserve a Moonwalk?
First, decide the date and time you would like to reserve a moonwalk. Then, call Pointe to Point Moonwalks at 313-885-4140 and reserve the date and time you'd like. We will mail you our Lease and Waiver Agreement, safety rules and guidelines, and confirmation letter.

What are your office hours?
Our office hours are Monday - Friday 9:00am-5:00pm, Saturdays - Sundays 10:00am-3:00pm. Due to the high amount of calls we receive you may not always get right through to a customer service representative. Please leave a message, you will be called back quickly.

How far in advance do I need to reserve?
The sooner the better. Summer is the busiest time, and weekends are the busiest days, so call early to get your first choice of moonwalk, date and time. Check out our special weekday rate on the pricing page.

How much space is required?
Our moonwalks require an area 17 ft. x 17 ft. and vertical clearance of about 14-30 feet with no low-hanging branches depending on the model. They plug into a standard 110 outlet, which should be no more than 75 feet from the moonwalk. The blower remains plugged in and operating for the length of the event.

Does the moonwalk need to be set up on grass?
Grass is preferred, but we'll set up your unit(s) on grass, asphalt, cement...almost anything but gravel. Be sure to pick out an area that's fairly flat, too.

How many people can be in the moonwalk at one time?
That depends on the size of the moonwalk...and the size of the people. The moonwalk has a weight limit of about 500 pounds. Here are some general guidelines:

  • Children 8 and under: Up to 10 at a time.
  • Children 9-12: 6-8 at a time.
  • Bigger teens: No more than 4 at a time.
  • These are general guidelines for a comfortable level, so that bouncers aren't bumping into each other.

Are Pointe to Point Moonwalks safe and clean?
They sure are! Each unit is cleaned before it's delivered to your event. Plus, our moonwalks are made from only the strongest materials, for the ultimate in safety. And each one has a special safety step, to make it easy for everyone to get in and out.

Is there anything else I should know?
    Yes.

  • If the event is outdoors, Pointe to Point Moonwalks will be hammering stakes (4) into the ground to anchor the moonwalk for stability.
  • We will need an access path at least 3 feet wide to transport the moonwalk to your event. Please check fence openings, pathways, etc.
  • Keep pets away from the unit and make sure the area where the moonwalk will be placed is clear of all debris.
  • The inflatable will not be set up unless the area is clear of all debris.
  • No silly string, food/drinks, shoes or sharp objects (eyeglasses, watches, etc.) in or near the moonwalk.
  • Do I have to rent one for the entire day or can I rent one for shorter periods of time?
Your rental options are for 3-8 hours. Check the pricing and models page for rates. General delivery time is morning on the day of the party or event and pick up is early evening on the same day. Times will be confirmed at time of rental scheduling.

Are your units safe? Will you teach me how to have a safe day of fun?
Yes, they are designed from the ground up with safety in mind. Our moonwalks are hand crafted with the finest materials and are manufactured with the highest degree of precision and care. While no one can guarantee safety, we do everything we can to promote safe use of our products to ensure your day is filled with fun, not hospital visits. Moonwalks are very safe. As with all equipment, safety rules do apply. You will be provided with a guideline of safety instructions when we deliver the equipment. We will go over those instructions with you. An adult MUST be responsible to supervise users of the moonwalks to make sure that the users comply with the safety rules and guidelines.

How can I pay for my rental?
Pointe to Pointe Moonwalks, Inc accepts cash, money order or business check only. There is a $30 fee charged for returned checks.

    When do I pay?
Payment is required at time of delivery of the unit(s) along with the signed Lease and Waiver Agreement. Deposit may be required.

What do I do in the event of rain?
Cancellation prior to delivery due to inclement weather absolves you of any commitment. However, once we deliver and setup the product, no refund is available. If you believe that inclement weather may be a problem, we ask that you cancel prior setup of the unit. In the event that high winds are prevalent at time of delivery, our representative may make a determination that it would not be safe to setup the unit. If that is the case, you would bear no financial responsibility and would not be required to pay.

Once the jumper is inflated, can the blower be turned off?
No, the blower must stay on the entire time or the jumper will deflate.

Can I have a moonwalk at a park?
Yes, although you will need to check with the individual park to make sure they allow inflatable equipment, etc. in the park. You (not Pointe to Point Moonwalks) are responsible for any permits or fees that are needed, if any.

Where will the power come from at a park?
Some parks do have electrical resources (at an extra cost) that you can utilize. If not, you will need a power generator which we can provide also at an additional cost.

I have a birthday party coming up soon for my 5-year old and would like to rent a moonwalk. How do I do this?
Call us at (313) 885-4140. Tell us what you would like to reserve. We will promptly mail you our Lease and Waiver Agreement, safety rules and guidelines, and confirmation letter. On the date of your party we will arrive about an hour prior to your requested starting time and set up the moonwalk. We will return at the ending time you specified and remove the moonwalk.

How much notice does Pointe to Point Moonwalks need to reserve a moonwalk or other equipment?
You should always make your reservation as soon as you know the date of your event. This way you have a better chance of the equipment being available when you need it. Some of our customers book items months in advance of their events. Many times folks call within days of their planned event only to find that what they want is not available on that date.
